A Sabbath Moment

And when He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but He was asleep. And they went and woke Him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.”

And He said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey Him?”

(Matthew 8:23-27 ESV)

In the midst of earthly or human storms, LORD, You can calm the seas.  You can calm my heart that the beat would become steady and gentle.  You can touch me with Your Love and let me know that You are there, that You are my Stronghold, my  Rock, my Redeemer.  Thank You, LORD.  When things are beyond my control, You control me.  When things pop up like a rocket out of nowhere, You are always there to steady me, to calm my spirit, to sooth my soul.  When words abound that hurt, You are The Word that soothes and is The Calming and Living Water.  You are my All in all, LORD Jesus.  I love You more than all.  I am so thankful that You are with me always and will never leave me.  Amen.
